Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed: 23 October 2026
1. About this statement
This statement covers the AIOne products provided by Omnia Smart Technologies Limited ("Omnia", "we", "us"), and the parts of them that our customers publish to the public, such as the bin collection lookup a council embeds on its own website. The rest of a council's or customer's website is covered by their own accessibility statement.
Each product has its own section below, because each has been tested to a different extent. We say plainly what has been tested and what has not.
2. Feedback and contact information
If you need information from one of our products in a different format, such as accessible PDF, large print, easy read, audio recording or braille, contact the organisation that provides the service to you, or contact us at support@weareomnia.com.
We will consider your request and get back to you within 5 working days.
3. Reporting accessibility problems
We are always looking to improve the accessibility of our products. If you find a problem that is not listed on this page, or think we are not meeting accessibility requirements, contact support@weareomnia.com.
4. Enforcement procedure
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the "accessibility regulations"). If you are not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS). If you are in Northern Ireland, contact the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland (ECNI).
5. Bin collection lookup (MapSmart)
The "Check your collections" lookup residents use to find their bin days, either on a page we host or embedded on a council's website.
5.1 Compliance status
This service is fully compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, based on our own testing.
You should be able to:
- use it with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator throughout
- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen, and use it on a narrow phone screen
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser or device settings
- use it with assistive technology: the search results, collection dates and today's collection status are all available as text
- use it in a dark colour scheme
- use it in Welsh, where your council offers Welsh
5.2 Known limitations
- The form for reporting a collection that did not happen is in English only, including on Welsh pages. We will provide Welsh text for it.
- The map showing where the collection crew is may be hard to use with some assistive technology. The same information is given in text above the map. The map imagery comes from third-party map services (OpenStreetMap or Ordnance Survey).
5.3 How it was tested
Last tested on 23 October 2026 against WCAG 2.2 AA, on the live service. The test was carried out by Omnia Smart Technologies. It was a self-assessment, not an independent audit, and covered:
- automated testing (axe-core) of every screen of the lookup
- keyboard-only testing
- checks at 320 pixels wide and with increased text spacing
- the dark colour scheme and the Welsh version
- inspection of what the lookup exposes to assistive technology
It has not yet been tested with screen reader software. Automated accessibility checks of the lookup run as part of our software tests, so a change that breaks them is caught before release.
6. AIOne business applications
The applications our customers' staff use: MapSmart, SolveSmart, ModelSmart, FlowSmart, InvoiceSmart, InventorySmart, AssetSmart, TrainSmart and the AIOne field app.
6.1 Compliance status
These applications have not yet been assessed against WCAG 2.2 AA, so we cannot yet say how far they comply. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. If accessibility is part of your procurement, ask us and we will tell you what we know about the product you are considering.
If something in one of them is hard to use with your assistive technology, please tell us at support@weareomnia.com, and we will work with you on it.
7. Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared on 23 October 2026 and last reviewed on 23 October 2026. We review it at least once a year, and next by October 2027.
